8th INTERNATIONAL EMİN TURAN
KILYOS SAND ART FESTIVAL SPECIFICATIONS-2021
"International Emin Turan Sand Art Festival" continues with the spirit of solidarity. We invite you to solidarity with Istanbul's first and only sand art festival, to produce works of art and to feel the nature.
PURPOSE: In Sarıyer, a district of Istanbul that is intertwined with nature, sand sculptures will be made without using any chemicals at Sarıyer Municipality Social Facilities Beach with the Kilyos Sand Art Working Group in order to raise awareness about the love of nature and protecting natural life, and to increase solidarity with the unifying power of art. The sculptures will be commended to rain, wind and waves to transform them into the shape they should be after the event.
TERMS OF PARTICIPATION:
1 - The theme of the festival will be "Be Yourself".
2 - Each artist / group participating in the festival will produce at least one work. Groups will consist of no more than 4 people.
3 - Accommodation will be provided by Sarıyer Municipality to the artists and their assistants during the event.
4 - Shovels and trowels will be supplied to the artists and their assistants by Sarıyer Municipality for the event.
5 - A plaque will be presented to all artists who produce works at the event.
6 - Festival deadline is September 1, 2021.
7 - The works produced in the festival will be exhibited on September 19, 2021 at the 4th Kilyos Environment and Art Days.
8 - Sarıyer Municipality has the right to display all the works participating in the "8th International Kilyos Sand Art Festival"
9 - The individual needs of all artists participating in the festival are their own responsibility.
10 - It is obligatory for the festival participants to fill out the form attached to the specification completely.
11 - All artists participating in the "8th International Emin Turan Kilyos Sand Art Festival" are deemed to have accepted the provisions of this specification.
